Once upon a time…there was a boy who sailed from his kampong
to unknown place, with a hope of making a new better life. Moving to a strange
territory, meeting new faces, leaving home, family and friends… and the worst
is anxiety about the future is too horrified to be grasped by a lad. Life at
the beginning of the new land wasn’t a pleasant experience..But he was a strong
and flamboyant boy... whom talked loud about his dreams regardless all the
scrutinizes of others.
At wee hour..he woke up and starts walking to nearby town to
sell local fruit, mostly guavas. Placing
the fruits on a piece old cloth..he starts his routine gingerly, call out
passerby to buy his fruits. He did this with no complaint and fuss even though
the profit wasn’t much. he save bit of his meager earnings daily without
failed..he was a very determined boy.. food never wasted.. leftover consumed
even when the leftover rice was full of ants. Some leftover will be eaten in
dark, purposely to avoid seeing the numerous ants in the food.
Little by little he managed to save and enlarged his
roadside stall. Until one day he told friend that he wants to buy a bullock
cart and venture rubber trading..buying from kampong people and becoming middle
man. This too has been scrutinized by most..at that time there were no Malay
people becoming middle man..what more owned a bullock cart. But he didn’t flinch
from his decision and moved ahead with the plan.
The rubber trading went so well and that point of juncture
he had to employed many assistant to assist his business. The flamboyant boy
was no more boy anymore..he is one of the rich man in kajang. By virtue of
having so much money has had opened up other opportunity..there were so many
people whom came to borrow money from him. In return, these people had
mortgaged the land title to him..and most of them had failed to payback which
eventually has made him the new owner of these lands… and he became Orang Kaya
Kajang……… Gen 3 Orang Kaya Kajang are on the way...to becoming one!!!!
